It is a well known fact that the majority of images we consume are created by men, and too often is feminism an easy target for commodification in the wider context of contemporary culture. SHOWstudio has decided to examine this 'self-other' relationship and curate an exhibition about sex, as seen exclusively from a female perspective.
The exhibition opens 22nd March 2012 and it features the works of London based artist Inge Jacobsen, photographer Malerie Marder, painter Suzannah Sinclair, photographer and mixed media artist Ione Rucquoi, photographer, performance artist and automotive designer Liz Cohen, artist Georgie Vahge, artist/ painter Kim McCarty, photographer Marianne Maric, ceramic artist Rebecca Wilson, and fashion artifact designer Úna Burke.
