Hailing from The Netherlands, young designer Liselore Frowijn, is a rising star of the Dutch fashion scene. Her work fuses a cool and sporty style with a nonchalant elegance.
After graduating from ArtEZ Arnhem, Liselore won the Dutch Couture Award and the Chloé Grand Prize at this year’s Festival of Hyères. She’s also planning to present her FW15/16 collection in the upcoming Paris Fashion Week in March of 2015.
Liselore’s debut collection for the SS15 season - “Fracture Space” - is inspired by the work of Austrian expressionist Oscar Kokoschk and based on the famous cut-outs of Matisse; his final work.
Matisse’s enormous collages in bright colors, which represent his own imaginary world, were reinterpreted by Liselore. Her creations resemble a painting, taking us to a world of fantasy, a dreamy colorful concoction were velocity is an important subject.
Her complex designs are made for the true explorers at heart with a wonderer soul; for the ambitious, independent and inquisitive woman. Liselore Frowijn’s eponymous label is synonym of easiness and versatility that sportswear offers, and the luxury and quality of a formal attire.
