San, NATTOFRANCO’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection lookbook. Designer Noemi Aiko Sebayashi has drawn inspiration from Japan’s thriving ecosystem of bizarre streetwear labels, presenting a selection of staples adorned with Japanese lettering.
‘Hokkaido’s secret street heritage and Paris’ new school look define the very duality of NATTOFRANCO’s equation. This coincidence of events is meaningfully related. Old images of designer Noemi Aiko Sebayashi’s father wearing his sportswear school uniform, yet unknown to her, seemed like a reflection to her own style. The shapes, vibes and colors found on those pictures are reflected today in NATTOFRANCO’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Therefore we would say: even if times elude us, the evidence of a connection between the mind and the object remains.’
