British photographer, director and publisher Rankin curates a new exhibition to support the children’s charity Claire’s House for children that have various terminal illnesses and will not live to reach adulthood.
Titled ‘It’s Glam Up North’ the show and public auction will be featuring a wide cross range of film makers, fashion and graphic designers including Martin Creed, Christopher Bailey, Tim Noble, Sue Webster, Nick Park, Vivienne Westwood, Peter Saville and many others…
Rankin has previously supported other charities and has worked with Women’s Aid, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Oxfam to name a few…he’s got to know the Merseyside charity (that supplies help and support to the families of these children) whilst preparing for Alive: In The Face of Death at the Walker Art Gallery in 2013. Rankin is now a Patron of Claire’s House.
On November the 21st there will be a public auction of all the pieces. It’s Glam Up North, curated by Rankin runs at the Museum of Liverpool from 25th of September to the 6th of December 2015. Support this cause and feast your eyes on a great selection of works.
