South London’s independent publisher Jane&Jeremy and The Guy Bourdin Estate collaborated to publish ‘Nature Magique’, a limited edition handmade book with only 100 copies.

The book explores the theme of nature in Bourdin’s work which seems to have had an underlying influence. With 33 images and a print stamped and numbered by The Guy Bourdin Estate.

With surrealism, sharp humor and a deeply radical approach Guy Bourdin changed the scene of photography. His work, whether in editorial or advertising broke aesthetic conventions, always characterized by a dramatic intensity and relentless perfectionism.

Generations of photographers and visual artists such as Sarah Moon and Märta Thisner to Inez & Vinoodh, regard Bourdin as an inspiration. His influence has transcended time and the flow of fashion, putting his work on the spotlight within the context of contemporary art.

‘Nature Magique’ release coincides with the retrospective exhibition ‘Avant-Garde’ at the Fotografiska Museet in Stockholm, which runs until 21st of February 2016.
