Thus the subjects in Gosha Rubchinskiy’s lookbook look like Italian sculptures, the collection draws from a distinct art form, one created during the 1st half of the 20th century in Soviet Union.
“The reference for the collection was early Soviet art. Our communist artists were very inspired by classic art and used the same type of imagery. So, these boys were really in the same mood as the collection and both of them are skaters.” - Gosha Rubchinskiy
You will find t-shirts emblazoned with Russian typography, the iconic hammer and sickle, Gosha Rubchinskiy’s logo and the year 1984 as a reference to George Orwell’s novel, the Russian flag, short shorts, joggers, 70 style tees, vests and oversized sports jackets, all complemented by Reebok and Vans sneakers.
