“The Autumn/Winter 2015-16 collection is based on looking at artists’ spaces. I am interested in why they feel very drawn to the spaces that they’re surrounded by. These spaces are always a bit messy, with a paint-stained T-shirt or a cat lying about.

The collection was also about hidden luxury. The seams of the garments are overlocked in gold, and the lining is finished in gold as well, which gives the garments a touch of humble wealth, instead of an overt opulence.

We also played with cat motifs and textiles, as we have always done. Then, we did a lot of collages of Tracy Emin’s bed and an amazing photograph by Salvador Dalí, which he took back in the day when there was no Photoshop.” - Steven Tai
