WAS welcomes to our Stores independent, Berlin based design label sample-cm. Established in 2010 by Margot Charbonnier, sample-cm questions and confronts the borders between fashion, art and sociology. Each of the designer’s projects revolves around a specific process or practice for a garment, which is to be considered as a zone of social interaction.
For her debut in WAS Stores, Charbonnier proposes for this Spring/Summer 2016 season the ‘Grand Bassin’, a collection characterized by refined, intelligent design. With 10 signature pieces that condenses the essential elements of street and sportswear, handmade in Berlin and in exclusive editions.
The ‘Grand Bassin’ garments come with kits of adhesive straps and instructions, inviting the wearer to experience the clothing as a full bodily practice. Adjusted, fitted, tied or transformed, ‘Grand Bassin’ embodies form for a personal move.
