PointsBet’s former Head of Trading Jay Croucher has joined NBC Sports as a full-time betting analyst.

In his new role, Croucher will offer advice on “all things sports betting” as NBC leans further into wagering-focused content.

The PointsBet veteran will appear across several shows, having this week made his official debut as co-host of “Bet the Edge,” a daily sports betting podcast.

Croucher will also serve as co-host of “Fantasy Football Happy Hour with Matthew Berry” and “Fantasy Football Pregame with Matthew Berry,” both available on Peacock, NBC’s streaming platform.

In addition to these roles, Croucher will produce written content for the NBC Sports EDGE website and social media channels.

“NBC has been the leader in innovating with betting content integrations on US television, so when the opportunity arose to join the team, it was an easy choice,” Croucher said.

“Sports betting is my language. I believe that it enhances our understanding of the sports we love and will continue to grow and add another compelling layer to sports broadcasts, and I can’t wait to be a part of that across NBC’s platforms.”

This appointment makes permanent a role Croucher has previously occupied in an ad-hoc capacity.

He has become a familiar face on NBC Sports EDGE shows, making regular appearances as part of NBC Sports’ strategic partnership with PointsBet.

Sam Flood, NBC Sports Executive Producer, said: “We’re excited to add an analyst with Jay’s credentials as a former head trader of a sportsbook.

“His perspective in breaking down betting lines will help us tell the story of each game from a unique angle.”
